Basque Organizations

The Basque Center - Euskaldunak, Inc.
The Basque Center was built in the 1940 and is a gathering place for Basque people of the area. We help maintain our heritage by helping to support Basque dancing, events and gatherings. The Basque Center is available for private parties and gatherings.

The Basque Museum & Cultural Center
The Basque Museum & Cultural Center provides a look into the Basque heritage by exhibits, collections, and tours. As a cultural center, it's a gathering place for events and educational opportunities - in which people of all backgrounds can participate in Basque activities.

The Basque School - Boiseko Ikastola
Boiseko Ikastola is the only Basque pre-school outside of the Basque Country. It began through the support of a handful of parents and recieved accreditation from the City of Boise in 1998. Euskera is the language spoken at this total-immersion program, but not all of the children are of Basque heritage. Visit our website to learn more!

Cenarrusa Foundation for Basque Culture
For the past one hundred years Basques have settled in Idaho and contributed to the largest concentration of Basques in North America. The Cenarrusa Center offers an additional opportunity to preserve this history and culture which has significantly enriched the State of Idaho and beyond.

Oinkari Basque Dancers
Hundreds of young men and women have participated as Oinkari Basque Dancers over the years. In addition to performing the same dances that the original group learned, the group has expanded their repertoire to include almost forty different numbers representing nearly each of the seven Basque provinces of the Old Country.
