Current News from The Basque Block
Boise, Idaho - - - The Basque Block has long been the center of activity for Basques in Boise and throughout Idaho, Northern Nevada and Eastern Oregon. The overall development began in 1998 with the financial support of Adelia Garro Simplot and the efforts of the Basque community through Euzkaldunak, Inc., the membership organization for Basques that operates the Basque Center, and the Basque Museum and Cultural Center. Both organizations have been located on the 600 block of Grove Street for years and the formal recognition of the area as The Basque Block has established the area as something very unique to Boise and unique for any community of this size anywhere.
We are pleased to have provided a variety of graphic, web and consulting services to several local Basque organizations, businesses and groups. iPlan has donated websites, services and support for the Basque Museum and Cultural Center, the Oinkari Basque Dancers, the Cenarrusa Center for Basque Studies is in the process of completing a new, donated website for the Basque School - Boiseko Ikastola.
Local, regional and national businesses and organizations that would like to have visibility within the Basque community or relate to the new revival development movement that The Basque Block represents are invited to participate as advertisers.
